Hi there!

My name is Adney Davis, a colorful artist with a little Caribbean sazón. I was raised in Cuba for 15 wonderful years before moving to the Sunshine State. Born creative! Always an artist at heart, I am passionate about the visual arts and have always loved to bring little masterpieces to life whether they are drawn, painted or digitally created.

I graduated from Florida Southern College with a B.A. in Studio Arts and Business Administration and I also have a M.A. in HR Management from Webster University. Let’s just say I have a wonderfully balanced art and business mix education. I am a true lover of color! These days I am all about teaching little ones how to create and appreciate the visual arts #elementaryartteacher.

I’m creating a community for art teachers and parents to have continuous access to fun art lessons, videos, step-by-step guides, art worksheets, coloring pages, and other resources that get the kiddos engaged in creating and learning. My dream is to become a full-time mentor and resource to art teachers, parents and developing artists!

Visit my Patreon page to see how you can become a patron and help me make this dream come true.

When I’m not on teacher or creator mode, I’m watching movies, window shopping, traveling, or simply playing with my kids and hubby. I won the lottery the day I met my husband, and our two little ones are truly amazing. We absolutely love RVing, cruising and taking family selfies!

“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up”

– Pablo Picasso

Adney’s Art Room is all about sharing ideas and resources with fellow art teachers, parents and growing artists to keep our passion for the visual arts growing. As you browse you will notice that my approach to teaching art is all about making fun projects that get the kiddos engaged in creating and learning. I strongly believe that at the elementary level, the focus should be for the students to enjoy making art. So I introduce new mediums and keep the projects exciting and relevant while making it a point to pack each lesson with the standards, and the elements and principles of art.

I truly believe art education is crucial to creating well-rounded and well-prepared learners and leaders by developing superior creative thinking, creative problem-solving, self-expression, risk-taking, cooperation skills, motor skills, language skills, social skills, decision-making, risk-taking, and innovation.

Other amazing art teachers and homeschooling parents have inspired me to dedicate even more time to Adney’s Artroom. I’m humbled by your support and honored to be part of your kiddos art education.

I am so glad you’re here. Let’s create and learn together!
